- About Bangor Beautiful
- Bangor Beautiful was founded in 2022 by a group of dedicated volunteers in the Bangor area. The organization has two primary committees: Public Art and Bees & Trees.
The Public Art committee focuses on art projects around the city. The first completed project was the Good of the Hive mural on Park Street in Downtown Bangor, and other murals soon followed.
The Bees & Trees committee aims to enhance Bangor's reputation as a city that's friendly to both trees and pollinators. The committee aims to hold regular tree plantings around the city, and it also works to build support for pollinator gardens around the Bangor area. - Current Needs
- We have a bunch of projects in the works, and we're always looking for volunteers who are interested in helping us complete art and landscaping projects around the city! If you have an interest in either (or both), join us at our regular monthly meetings downtown.
